Our theme for 2007-08 was

from Dianne Pomon, Director
of Genesis Pregnancy Care Center in Pottstown,
guest speaker at our Annual Autumn Brunch:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 (NKJV)

Our speaker again is Julie Henning, who shared with us Part II of her life story, called:
"In the Master's Hands." Her key verse is Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper; you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV)
Julie Henning was born in South Korea during the Korean War. At 13, she was taken from her life of poverty, but also from her mother, to be adopted by Pearl S. Buck. her journey from desperation to a house with a white picket fence lead her finally into the hands of God. The story continues, as she willingly places herself in the hands of the One who saved her and shpaed her daily, into the person He wants her to be.
Today, she is a wife and mother of two grown sons. She and her husband, Doug, are both educators in the Souderton School District where they facilitate a weekly Bible study.
Held this year at the home of Grace Kraybill
